As water got scarce in the ravines near our home, the local mule deer came searching for water and sustenance. The first time that we saw them INSIDE the garden, I was upstairs in the office.

The short fence was a minor detail to them; they’d just hop over it! Then, the deer exit down the ravine to the north of us through the hole in the fence.
