The day that Katie was born, I knew we were to have another boy. Stan thought I was crazy! We'd talked about Katie being our last child - and so many people had said "Now your family is complete since you got your girl". Well... I saw Erik (in my mind) while watching little Katie sleep.
3 years and 9 months after Katie, Erik Joel Thompson joined our family on 7 April 1990. He was born at Foothill Presbyterian Hospital in Glendora, California. Scotty was almost 10 when Erik was born - and that's him holding Erik as a baby.
Erik loved ELMO! Where did those little blond curls come from?? Once he got a haircut at about the age of 3, the curls disappeared. This photo was taken shortly before that time.
